FAQs

What should I wear?

We strongly recommend our clients wear long pants and closed shoes, although these are not required. A t-shirt or long sleeve if you’re sensitive to the sun is great - remember you are in warm, sunny Costa Rica and will be riding on the beach, so light and cool clothing is best! Please also don’t forget to apply and/or bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray! If you are going to be swimming with the horses (if you have booked for that specific tour or ride), please bring a swimming costume and a towel.

I’ve never ridden a horse before, can I still do a horse tour?

Absolutely! Many of our clients have never sat on or rode a horse before. We will give you specific instructions and make sure you feel comfortable and safe. Our horses are all trained to be calm around new riders, so you have nothing to worry about!

I’m an experienced rider, do you offer more advanced rides?

Yes of course we do! We offer rides for all riders and experience levels! Just let us know you’re riding experience and what you’re looking for and we will be happy to accommodate you!

Do you provide helmets?

Yes we have helmets available for all our clients.

Should I bring a bag or a backpack?

You are welcome to bring a backpack or a bag that you can comfortably wear over your shoulder. If you are a more advanced rider and plan to do a β€˜Fast’ ride with us, please be aware that a backpack may feel limiting when at a canter.
